hey so while i’m thinking about grease again the main complaint i have with any adaptation is that they keep putting rizzo alone onscreen for “worst things i could do.” like yeah i get the visual symbolism but the thing is, onstage that song is supposed to be sung to sandy. it kinda takes away from the IMPACT of the last verse if sandy’s not there to hear it.

I am a very strong believer of both Jenny and Halt loving Labyrinth in a modern AU. I also feel like watching Jareth would have been Halts first bi awakening. This is totally not me just self projecting again.

I also feel like Halt would like Grease.

does anyone know how to deal with closing night depression because i’ve been ugly crying for the past like half an hour because grease closed and it’s also upped a bit because i’m high-ish supports needs autistic and theatre is the one true place i can express myself and stim freely and musical theatre is one of my special interests AND they adapted some bits for my wheelchair and were so nice in general (other than the other people in chorus they sucked and were ableist as fuck ESPECIALLY CHARLIE AND ROSELLIA AND HER FRIEND. but i did. have someone i knew that wasn’t A TRANSPHOBIC ABLEIST PRICK. but i did. have to drag her to rehersals.) plus i made it through the show with only two breakdowns (BOTH CAUSED BY ROSELLIA AND HER FRIEND.)
